Daytime Sighting Described as Spaceship - Video, Georgia

Daytime UFO Sighting, Georgia

Posters Comments
"On October 23, 2012 at about 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, I was on my front porch along with my best friend. My two children were in the driveway at the time as well. My 8 year old daughter first saw a large black object a bit above the tree line accross the street and she pointed it out to us.

It was slowing moving towards my house and we got a good look at it directly above the street in front of my house. It looked to be a dull, black color with a curved, wing like shape on either side. The wings did not move though.

It looked to be a solid object with no noise. It slowly ascended NE.

There were obvious lights blinking randomly on the front, sides, and back throughout our observation. We watched it slowly ascend until it seemed to be close to the height of where a commercial airplane could be.

There were some faint clouds very high up in the sky and eventually this object ascended into them. Before it became unnoticable, it looked like a black spec. I have three short videos of this object that I videod with my cellphone.

My daughters described this as a "spaceship" and my friend and I had never seen anything like this and felt it was a UFO."

Coast Guard UFO Sighting, Lake Erie - 1988

Coast Guard Encounters With Mothership and Satellite UFOs - 1988

On March 4, 1988, near the icy waters of Lake Erie, Henry and Sheila Baker were driving home with their three children. They were returning from having dinner about 8:30 PM. As they drove along, Sheila saw something glowing out over the lake, and told her husband about it. They drove to the beach, and exited their car to get a closer look. They could hear the sound of cracking ice on the lake.

Huge, Gun-Metal Object:
Clearly visible to them was a large, gunmetal-gray football shaped UFO. The object seemed to rock slightly back and forth, while streaming brilliant lights from its ends. It was perfectly silent. Soon, it began to move, descending toward the icy waters. The Bakers become frightened by the eerie-looking object, and drove home. Their house was not far from the lake, and they could still see the UFO through a window.

Yellow Triangular Objects:
Watching the object in the safety of their own home, they could make out blue and red lights flashing on its lower edge. Sheila phoned in their sighting to the Eastlake police department. They police, in turn, called the sighting in to the Coast Guard. While the Bakers watched the UFO, suddenly five or six bright, yellow triangular objects came from the mid-section of the UFO, and darted across the lake.

Coast Guard Arrives:
The yellow triangles moved independently of each other, and seemingly at random, until they finally stopped around the mother-ship, and sped away in the direction of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. This time Sheila called the Coast Guard herself. A team soon arrived at the Baker house. Seaman James Power and Petty Officer John Knaub would investigate the incident.

UFO Cracks Ice:
After Sheila pointed out the UFOs over the lake, the men drove to the lake to get a closer look. They would later report to Coast Guard headquarters in Michigan that they too could hear the ice cracking, and that the abnormal amount of cracking was caused by the larger UFO as it approached the water.
Conversation Overheard:After observing the activity over the lake for a time, Power and Knaub got into their Chevy Suburban, and made a report via their two-way radio. The Bakers could overhear their conversation:"Be advised the object appears to be landing on the lake... There are other objects moving around it. Be advised these smaller objects are going at high rates of speed. There are no engine noises and they are very, very low."
UFO Lands on Ice:
All at once, one of the smaller UFOs buzzed the Coast Guard vehicle in a blaze of light. It then veered away and went to the mother-ship. This activity was observed independently by two witnesses. Finally, all of the smaller objects reentered the large UFO, which had now landed on the ice.

Light Show:
The mother-ship began to put on a light show as it sat on the ice. There were colors of red, blue, and yellow coming from the end of the object. At one point, the smaller objects reemerged and hovered over the larger UFO, before reentering it, and the entire group of UFOs disappeared. This case was published in the 1992 book by Christopher Evans, "Space Case: The Night the Coast Guard Got Buzzed." There has never been an adequate "earthly" explanation for the incident.

Myrtle Beach Mystery UFO Sightings For Decades, Video

Lights In Sky Remain a Mystery Through Decades Along Myrtle
Beach Coast

Mysterious lights in night sky continue to intrigue
along Grand Strand

Rick Jones experienced his own close encounter about a week ago. The North Myrtle Beach man was down at the city's 6th Avenue public beach access on the evening of Oct. 22 when he saw what he said were three orange- or reddish-colored lights that suddenly appeared over the ocean, seeming to come out of nowhere. MYRTLE BEACH -- In this age of iPhones that take tremendous video footage and YouTube that serves as a global space to view that footage, it’s hard to be a cynic when someone says they saw something unusual in the sky. Want proof? Go to YouTube and do a search for UFO, Sept. 13, 2012, Myrtle Beach.
There, one will find several amateur videos shot that night along the Grand Strand of something strange over the ocean

The videos show orange lights that appear and disappear. At one point, they multiply into at least eight small lights that litter the sky. Those shooting the footage aren’t shy in expressing their surprise and shock, often using colorful language not suitable to print here.

But after watching the videos, the obvious question remains: What was that?

Is it a distress flare from a ship? Maybe it was a military training exercise? Could it be E.T. dropping by to say hello?

“This is a mystery,” said Peter Davenport, director of the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) near Seattle, Wash. “The lights don’t seem to be military flares. They don’t behave like it.”

Davenport said the center has received numerous reports from the Grand Strand about mysterious lights. In 2012, 59 sightings in Horry and Georgetown counties have been reported, according to the NUFORC website.

But this isn’t a new phenomenon. The website indicates the first reported sighting in the Palmetto State dates back to the 1930s.

One such report was dated Sept. 18 of this year and occurred in south Myrtle Beach. The reporter stated, “We sat on the porch in the evening as the sun was going down, and we (saw) two bright lights that looked like two headlights coming at us.”

Rick Jones experienced his own close encounter within the last few days. The North Myrtle Beach man was down at the city’s 6th Avenue public beach access on the evening of Oct. 22 when he saw what he said were three orange- or reddish-colored lights that suddenly appeared over the ocean, seeming to come out of nowhere.

“This was kind of odd,” Jones said.Within a few seconds, the lights blinked out. Suddenly, he said, they reappeared in a different part of the sky. “I was just totally amazed,” Jones said.

Two days later, he and a female friend spotted the lights again, this time while at the 12th Avenue beach access in North Myrtle Beach. Jones reported his sightings to the UFO center. On Oct. 26, he was back out on the city’s beaches, hoping to get another glimpse at the mysterious lights.

Ohio resident Tonya Tigner also saw something strange in the sky when she was vacationing along the Grand Strand with friends and family in September. Like Jones, Tigner and her companions were sitting on a deck one evening at the Murrells Inlet beach house they’d rented and saw the seemingly dancing lights bouncing their way across the night sky.

“It was like a lantern,” Tigner said. “We’re all convinced that we had definitely seen UFOs.” Several posts on The Sun News Facebook page touted personal experiences with the lights, while some dismissed the phenomenon as hogwash easily explained by Air Force or naval exercises. One post attempted to debunk those nonbelievers: “People have been blaming the lights on the Air Force base for years,” it read. “The Air Force base is gone, but the lights are still here.”

An earth-bound explanation

Or is there a terrestrial explanation?

Lt. Timothy McNamara, with the U.S. Coast Guard, sector Charleston, said there are three types of flares boats have on board. Any of those could possibly be what people have been seeing.

One is the meteor flare, which has a rapid rise and rapid descent, McNamara said. Their average height is between 250 and 400 feet, they can be seen from 15 to 17 nautical miles away and its burn duration is 5.5 seconds, he added.

“Depending on where you are, it can look higher than it really is,” McNamara said.

The second is the parachute flare, a signaling device with a rapid rise and slow descent because of the chute. It reaches an altitude of up to 1,200 feet and can be seen from 14 to 20 nautical miles as it burns for 40 seconds.

Finally, there’s the hand-held flare. McNamara said its average height is 10 feet, depending on how tall the person is holding it. Its viewing range is 8 to 50 nautical miles while burning for 50 to 120 seconds.

Of course, anyone familiar with UFO lore knows one explanation that’s always tossed out is military exercises.

Robert Sexton, spokesman for Shaw Air Force Base in Columbia, said its 20th Fighter Wing trains over the Atlantic Ocean quite frequently, sometimes after dark.

In these evening exercises, flares are ejected from the F-16s because they’d be used in combat to distract a heat-seeking missile.

“We train just like we fight. The flares that our fighters would eject are just a small object about the size of a salt shaker. All they do is fall,” Sexton said.

Believers

Neither Sexton nor McNamar could say for certain that what people are seeing can be explained by flares and training exercises.

That type of confusion is exactly why Jim Meetze started studying the UFO phenomenon in the first place.

The Wilmington, N.C., man, who recently spoke at a UFO workshop in the city, said he’s never had any personal experience with a strange flying object. Part of what got him interested in the topic was being an Apollo mission junkie when he was younger.

When he dove in, Meetze discovered a topic that was both overwhelming and confusing. It hit on everything from the events that occurred in Roswell, N.M. – one of the country’s most famous UFO hotspots – to military admittance then denial, and even some people’s beliefs that extraterrestrials and other lifeforms will speak through humans via psychic abilities.

“When you start to look at it, it’s pretty overwhelming,” Meetze said.

So, what’s kept him interested in the topic for five years? He believes that when there’s all this smoke, there must be fire.

Jones said it’s sad to think that humanity is all that’s out there. So, yes, he doesn’t believe we are alone.

“I believe in God to start with. I just can’t see us being created, and nothing else out there in this big old universe,” he said.

Do UFOs Matter? Yes They Do. Why?

Why UFOs Matter

Is our government hiding real-life X-Files? UFO historian Richard Dolan is considered an expert in these government conspiracies. In an eye-opening live webcast on July 24, 2012, he explained to Regina Meredith how the end of UFO secrecy will forever change civilization.

Richard M. Dolan, co-author of A.D. After Disclosure: The People’s Guide to Life After Contact, is considered an expert on UFOs and the related government conspiracies. He has also published a 1,000-page study about UFOs and the National Security State – a two-volume historical narrative of the national security dimensions of the UFO phenomenon from 1941 to the present. Dolan has appeared on numerous television documentaries for the History Channel, Sci Fi Channel, as well as BBC and European networks.

It seems like the world is divided into two kinds of people: those with a fascination for UFOs and those with only skeptical disdain. But in between those two polarities lies a rich and complex history of governmental involvement with the phenomenon -- as well as some important information we have the right to be privy to. On Regina Meredith's interview on Gaiam TV with Richard Dolan, a world-renowned government conspiracy expert, you'll get some level-headed truth on why UFOs may have more gravitas and less "giggle factor" than you may assume.

It's an eye-opening show, with sensitive subject matter skillfully handled. Meredith is a savvy interviewer, and gets the balance between empathy and scrutiny just right. Dolan comes across as well-informed source, passionate (but not fanatical) about UFOs. The show's subtext is government suppression, positioning UFOs as less about personal belief and more about political freedom. Indeed, Dolan says, "Disclosure [itself] is not the ultimate answer, but a new phase in the struggle for truth." In this context, the inherent curiosity about UFOs that we all instinctually harbor can be richly informed.

Here are just a few of the intriguing things Dolan discusses on the show:

UFOs 101
A crash course in UFO history about the key events and players in the UFO field, including Roswell, New Mexico, Philip Corso, the Condon Report, the COMETA report, John Mack M.D., and Carl Bernstein. Somehow knowing there is extensive UFO research gives the field more validity.

Not fit to print
From the Wall Street Journal to the Washington Post, no legitimate newspaper in the Unites States wants to touch anything that smacks of UFOs and the like. Dolan dives into the back story of why UFOs get so little media coverage and explores the incentives for journalists in keeping UFOs under wraps.

Breakaway civilizations
By far Dolan's most fascinating notion, "breakaway civilization" is a term he coined to denote a hypothetical group fully immersed in studying UFO culture, artifacts and technology. Studying UFO artifacts, Dolan suggests, can lead to cutting edge breakthroughs in technology and science. These advances, such as concrete alternatives to petroleum and fossil fuels, represent huge threats to the global economy.
Getting to know the fuller picture about the history of UFOs--and the startling lack of disclosure --is a true eye opener. With open minds, Dolan says, "we can make more informed decisions about the world we live in." By presenting the information with dignity, Meredith does the UFO phenomenology a huge service. As she says in closing, "I hope the giggle factor has been released regarding this subject and you are encouraged to ask more questions." Maybe we shouldn't be so quick to dismiss that which goes bump in the night.

Black Triangle UFO Hovers Just Above Car in Sweden

Witness in Sweden Sees Triangle UFO Just Above Car

This UFO Sighting and report was taken from UFO.se and it was dated Sunday Oct 28, 2012. This is an exact translation so excuse some of the errors but all the details seem to translate well.

Artist Likeness

A few hours after I arrived in Mariestad after completing the course in Hållsta I got a phone call from Aftonbladet, who had been in a very recent report from a man who had been on the road in the car from Vasteras to Stockholm tonight. After a while the man phoned me up, still excited about what he had seen now more than two hours after the event, something that is not hard to understand. I'll try to give a brief summary of what he saw below:

It was between 18:15 and 18:20 when he was in the car was on E18 about 20-30 km from the city (it turned out to be about 10 miles) on its way to Stockholm. He had just come in on a stretch where his side of the road was single track when he obliquely to the left in front of him, at a distance of what he estimates to a kilometer, saw an object low over the treetops which at first glance looked like a helicopter had some kind of light on it, a light directed down towards the woods.

The object approached the road and after a short time he arrived at the point where also the object was now. When the man had slowed down and drove maybe 30 miles per hour. When he looked at the object, he saw that it was not a helicopter without a large black object, triangular, with two lamps at the rear.

- When I drove into the car in the ditch and hit the hazard lights and went out of the car, he tells me. - I stood behind the car and saw the object over the road, just ten feet above me as I understood it. It was so close that I could have thrown a rock at it.

On the subject sees the man a round, blue light source to the right on the rear triangle (which seemed to pulsate) and a square, more diffuse bright, whitish with a sort of pattern of squares on the right side. He estimates that the base of the triangle is between, 30-45 feet (10-15 meters) and its length is only 12-15 feet (4-5 meters), a very compact triangle with rounded corners, the thickness may have been 1.2 to 2 feet - "far too low for a pilot could have sit there. "

- It passed cars and I am convinced that any more than I must have seen the article, he says. He says that the object was over the E18 for about 20 seconds before it went on the road's south side on a field roughly described in the direction of Västerås. He believes the speed to maybe 30 miles per hour.

- When there passed a few cars so I listened for sounds from the object but it was silent. - After 20-30 seconds, I am very weak in the knees and goes back to the car, the object is visible then still a little farther away but I feel scared and run away, he says.

While he says that if it had not been a central barrier in the way he had turned the car and followed the object. The time of observation was thus sometime between 18:15 and 18:20, probably closer to 18:20 because the man made a few calls after the observation which was recorded in the mobile.

This is what we know about the event so far and few checks we can do tonight. During tomorrow will report on Tobias center go ahead with the event and do some checks. In any case, it is an interesting observation that stands out from the usual bright dots.

Power Station Explodes NYC, Incredible Video & Photos

Power Station Explosion and Photos of Sandy's Devastation

This video was taken from across the east river in Brooklyn, it captures the Con Ed (Consolidated Edison) power plant exploding in a series of bright blue flashes. The sound could be heard over a great distance even though the wind was screaming through the canyon like structures in downtown Manhattan.  Con Ed has informed customers that it has shut off power to customers in the Lower Manhattan. The plan to shut off the power at the first sign of trouble should allow the power company to restore electricity shortly after the storm passes. Ten million people are expected to be without power over the next few days.

The storm surge has reached a new record at about 12 feet (4 meters).

The devastation can be seen in some of the photos below.

Five of the Strangest Things On Google Earth

Lake of blood: Cnes/Spot Image, Digital Globe

GoogleOutside Sadr City in Iraq, at coordinates 33.396157° N, 44.486926° E, lies a blood-red lake. There is, as yet, no official explanation for the color of this strange body of water.

Island-in-a-lake-etc.Credit: Digital Globe, GeoEye,

GoogleThe world's largest island-in-a-lake-on-an-island-in-a-lake-on-an-island is a narrow, four-acre strip of land in Canada located at exactly 69.793° N, 108.241° W. The nameless island (that little-tilde shaped squiggle of green) lolls across the center of a small lake, which is itself encapsulated by a slightly larger island. That resides inside one of a series of long finger lakes located 75 miles inland from the southern coast of Victoria Island, a land feature in Northern Canada. This little "sub-sub-sub island" would never have received its strange distinction if not for careful trolling of Google Earth by map geeks around the world. In all likelihood, no human has ever actually set foot there.

The boneyardCredit: Google

The Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Ariz., is where U.S. military planes go to die. Dubbed "the boneyard," this 2,600-acre cemetery of steel at coordinates 32 08'59.96" N, 110 50'09.03"W is closed to the general public, but Google Earth provides a high-resolution glimpse of what's inside: virtually every plane the military has flown since World War II — from the B-52 StratoFortress to the F-14 Tomcat — in various stages of decay. A bit of trivia: The boneyard at Davis Monthan was used as the backdrop in the music video for "Learning to Fly" by rock music legend Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The band was shown performing amongst various aircraft hulks.

China's secrets: Digital Globe, GoogleNewfound

Google Earth images have revealed an array of mysterious structures and patterns etched into the surface of China's Gobi Desert. According to experts, this is a secret military base, and the structures are used for a variety of purposes including weapons testing, spy satellite calibration and testing of radar instrumentation. The most elaborate feature, an intricate grid of perfectly straight lines that weave back and forth every few hundred feet for 20 miles (33 kilometers), is most likely a Yagi antenna array, a device used for weather tracking and other atmospheric research.

Aussie UFO?Credit: Sensis Pty Ltd, Digital Globe

GoogleIn Australia, at coordinates 30°30'38.44"S 115°22'56.03"E, a strange triangle dotted with bright lights appears in the middle of a field. When first discovered in 2007, ufologists were quick to call it a "triangle UFO" caught in the act of hovering above Earth. Other Google Earth users say it may be an antenna associated with a nearby remote-controlled wind farm. With three sets of wires forming a triangle, and a tower in the middle, the antenna likely receives and transmits control signals.

Star Trek Tractor Beam and Other Technologies Becoming Reality

This is no doubt that Star Trek was ahead of its time but who would have ever thought that some of to the pie in the sky technology would become reality so quickly. From Tricorders to iPads and everything in between is now here and is very much a reality

It seems like we're getting closer to the Star Trek future by leaps and bounds these days. We recently learned that a NASA scientist has set his sights on building a warp drive, and now news has come in that a team of physicists have built their own tractor beam in the lab. Now, it's nothing to get too excited over — they used an optical beam to pull a 30 micrometer silica sphere suspended in water — but the demonstration proved that a tractor beam can actually exist.

We've known about the power of Bessel beams for some time now, including their potential to act as a kind of tractor beam. This optical phenomenon was first discovered by Friedrich Bessel over a hundred years ago, and has since been applied by microbiologists as a kind of tweezer.

But up until this point no one has been able to prove that a Bessel beam can actually function as a kind of tractor beam. So, in an effort to make it work, physicists David Ruffner and David Grier sought to harness a rather unique property of Bessel beams.

Specifically, these laser beams are capable of reconstructing themselves on the opposite side of an object. Subsequently, the theory is that these beams can pull an object back towards the stream of light — not unlike a tractor beam.

So, in an effort to create this ‘optical conveyor,' Ruffner and Grier adjusted the periodic intensity of the Bessel beam's axis so that it could optically trap the micrometer silica sphere. Then, by changing the beam's relative phase, the trapped object was selectively moved both upstream and downstream along the conveyor. Unlike previous (failed) experiments, they were able to do this by multiple lenses that could slightly bend the beams and cause them to overlap — what caused a strobe effect behind the particle, which provided the required energy to draw the object back towards the source.

And not only that, the physicists say that the same method can be used to combine multiple Bessel beams to create a series of overlapping optical conveyors — what could result in the bidirectional transport of microscale objects in three dimensions.

But as PhysOrg reports, the tiny tractor beam may not be scalable — at least not for the foreseeable future. The creation of a space-based tractor beam like the one portrayed in Star Trek would require a tremendous amount of energy — enough to destroy the object that it's trying to pull in. But that said, the breakthrough indicates that a similar device might be possible by using a less energy intensive energy source.

The Ruffner and Grier paper was published in Physical Review Letters and can be found here. Alternately, you can read a version of it at Grier's homepage.

Enormous Cigar Shaped UFO Entering Volcano - Mexico, Video

This amazing video was shown on National TV news in Mexico (Oct 22, 2012) and is quickly going viral. This cigar shaped object is at least 640 feet long (200 meters).

Popocatépet Volcano is only 43 miles (70 km) from Mexico City and lies in the states of Puebla, State of Mexico and Morelos in Central Mexico. The volcano is approximately 730,000 years old and has an elevation of 17,880 feet (5,450 meters), it is the second highest peak in the country.

To give you an idea of how large this volcano it is 16 mile in diameter (25km) at its base. Popocatépetl is currently active after being dormant for about half of last century. In 1991 the volcano's activity increased and since 1993 smoke can be seen constantly emanating from the crater.

Ancient Indian Tale of Skyman, Was He An Alien?

Was Indian Skyman an Alien?

A
ccording to the story recorded in 1917 by ethnologist Colonel G.E. Laidlaw, 500 years ago there was a large Ojibwa village about 550 native American  people living in Southern California. One day, a pair of them stumbled upon a stranger sitting on the grass in a field. This figure, a male, was notably “clean and shining bright."

The natives approached the stranger and asked who he was and how he came to be in the field. “I am not one of you. I do not belong to this land. I dropped down from above,” the stranger explained. Showing unusual hospitality, the Ojibwa invited him back to their village. The stranger agreed, but on one condition: “Go home and clean the place where I will stay, and when you come back for me, I will go with you for a few days.”

Agreeing, the Ojibwa men went back to their community, told their fellow villagers about their experience, and cleaned the hut where they would house the ‘Skyman.’

The stranger did in fact accompany them to their village, but he was clearly restless. He watched the skies often and told people that in two days something would come and get him to take him back up to the sky. One afternoon, Skyman looked up and said, “It is coming.” The villagers craned their necks and turned their eyes above and saw something that looked like a bright shining star streak down from the heavens and hover near the ground.

This was the most beautiful thing any of them had ever seen. Skyman entered the shining star and disappeared from view  The shining star then shot back into the sky and faded away. This tale seems to be a description of an encounter with an ‘ancient astronaut,’ as seen in many cultures and popularized by Swiss theorist Erich von Daniken of Chariots of the Gods fame.

Many modern UFO theorists believe Skyman was a marooned extraterrestrial astronaut whose own craft was somehow damaged or destroyed. They point to the fact Skyman clearly entered the glowing star as proof the object was a spacecraft of some sort. Was he ‘clean and shining bright’ because he wore a silvery pressure suit? Did he request his hosts clean his quarters out of fear of contracting human viruses against which he had no immunity?

Many researchers believe Skyman was no mythological tale, but rather an actual encounter of the first kind between an ancient alien and an entire Ojibwa community.  Maybe we too should be craning our necks and scanning the skies.

Brightly Colored Low Altitude UFOs/Orbs Over India, Video

UFOs Filmed in Southern India

This video was posted on October 25, 2012, it appears to be very brilliant UFOs or Orbs at a very low altitude. These do not appear or act like Chinese Lanterns or any of the usual misidentified suspects. There really is no other information of any value to post with this video.

UFO Has Very Strange Lights, Silent Craft, Michigan

Silent Craft Had Very Strange Lighting

Artist Likeness
A Wyoming, Michigan, witness is questioning the lighting on "an unusual object" moving overhead under 1,000 feet that did not display "navigation, strobe, or landing lights," according to October 27, 2012, testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside walking a dog on a clear night about 8 p.m. on October 24, 2012, when the object was first noticed heading south.

"The object had four pinkish-red lights in two rows of two with 12-16 smaller, pale blue lights around the perimeter," the witness stated. "I couldn't hear any sound from the object but I was near a busy road and there was a lot of traffic noise."

The witness first thought the object might be a small plane.

"It was traveling at a speed that would be consistent with a small, single engine plane. However, there were no navigation, strobe, or landing lights on the object."

The witness took a guess as to the object's size.

"My impression was that the object was somewhere around 10 feet by 10 feet, and that its altitude was 800-1,000 feet."

The witness continued to think that the object might be landing at a nearby airfield.

"I thought I was looking at a small plane with some kind of light display attached, and I expected it to bank to the east for a landing approach to Kent County International Airport (the street I live on is directly along the west/east landing approach), at which point I would be able to see its navigation lights. Instead, the object made a sharp turn to the west and as it came out of the turn there was a flash of green light, and the red and blue lights disappeared. I waited several minutes to see if the object would return, but it did not. Duration of the sighting was 30-40 seconds."

Willy Ley Scientist and Author Discusses UFOs

A highly effective advocate of spaceflight, first in Germany and then in the United States to which he emigrated in 1935 after Hitler's accession to power. Originally a paleontologist, Ley helped to found the German rocketry society Verein fur Raumschiffahrt in 1927, and was Wernher von Braun's first rocket tutor, around the time that his first two books were published: Die Fahrt ins Weltall (Journey into Space, 1926) and Die Möglichkeit der Weltraumfahrt (The Possibility of Interplanetary Travel, 1928). The latter was the inspiration behind the film and book 'The Woman in the Moon'. In the United States, he quickly earned a reputation as a visionary of the coming Space Age through well-researched articles.

Willy Ley was one of the first respected modern scientist to  took a crack at answering the question of what is a flying sauce. He was one of the first if not the first person to say that 85% of all sightings are misidentified craft. In this highly intriguing interview which took place August 4, 1952 he discusses what he believes the other 15% to be!

Willy Ley  was a German-American science writer and space advocate who helped popularize rocketry and spaceflight in both Germany and the United States. The crater Ley on the far side of the Moon is named in his honor.

Ley was born in Berlin in 1906 and grew up in his native Berlin. He studied astronomy, physics, zoology, and paleontology at the University of Berlin. He became interested in spaceflight after reading Hermann Oberth's book Die Rakete zu den Planetenräumen ("By Rocket into Interplanetary Space"). After publishing Die Fahrt ins Weltall ("Travel in Outer Space") in 1926, Ley became one of the first members of Germany's amateur rocket group, the Verein für Raumschiffahrt (VfR - "Spaceflight Society") in 1927 and wrote extensively for its journal, Die Rakete ("The Rocket"). With Oberth, he also acted as a consultant on Fritz Lang's film Frau im Mond ("Woman in the Moon").

Willy Ley
In 1935, Ley left Nazi Germany for Great Britain and ultimately the United States. In 1936, he supervised operations of two rocket planes carrying mail at Greenwood Lake, NY. Ley was an avid reader of science fiction, and began publishing scientific articles in American science fiction magazines, beginning with "The Dawn of the Conquest of Space" in the March 1937 issue of Astounding Stories. Ley had a regular science column called "For Your Information" in Galaxy Magazine from its premiere in October, 1950 until his death in 1969. He was a member of science fiction fandom as well, attending science fiction conventions, and was eventually a Guest of Honor at Philcon II, the 1953 World Science Fiction Convention.

His book "Rockets - the Future of Travel Beyond the Stratosphere" (1944) describes the early rockets at VfR and more futuristic projects to reach the moon using a 3-stage rocket "as high as 1/3 of the Empire State Building" - a very good estimate of the height of the Saturn V rocket designed 20 years later. His works from the 1950s and '60s are regarded as classics of popular science and include The Conquest of Space 1949 (with Chesley Bonestell), The Conquest of the Moon (with Wernher von Braun and Fred Whipple, 1953), and Beyond the Solar System (1964). His book, Rockets, Missiles, and Space Travel, (1957) was cited in the Space Handbook: Astronautics and its Applications, a staff report of the Select Committee on Astronautics and Space Exploration of the U.S. House of Representatives, which provided non-technical information about spaceflight to U.S. policy makers. He also acted as science consultant for the Tom Corbett, Space Cadet series of children's science fiction books and TV series, as well as the 1959 feature film entitled "The Space Explorers." In the late 1950s, he also served as a consultant for Monogram models designing a range of space vehicles including the Orbital Rocket, Space Taxi Passenger Rocket and TV Orbiter. The kits included informational booklets on space travel written by Ley.

Ley was best known for his books on rocketry and related topics, but he also wrote a number of books about animals. One notable book was Exotic Zoology (1959), which combined some of his older writings with new ones. This is of some interest to cryptozoology, as Ley discusses the Yeti and sea serpents, as well as reports of relict dinosaurs. The book's first section (Myth?) entertains the possibility that some legendary creatures (like the sirrush, the unicorn or the cyclops) might be based on actual animals (or misinterpretation of animals and/or their remains).

He was a member of the all-male literary banqueting club the Trap Door Spiders, which served as the basis of Isaac Asimov's fictional group of mystery solvers the Black Widowers.

Ley died at the age of 62 on June 24, 1969 in his home in Jackson Heights, Queens.

Daytime Sighting of UFOs Flying through Jet Contrails, Video

UFOs Speeding Through Contrails

I came across this very interesting video that shows two very fast moving objects behind a jet putting out contrails. The speed of these two object is phenomenal and they probably would never be seen by the naked eye, the UFOs turn out to be an accidental catch by the person filming.

WATCHERS caught ON TAPE !!! craft caught on tape of what i have seen up close , they are very stealthy and can not be seen easily at night even in slow motion , this was daytime and moving very fast. they are about 9 feet long i called them black diamond caskets.they have been seen recently in PA and UK

These two elongated diamond shaped UFOs were accidentally caught on film while a jet was putting out high altitude contrails.

Operation UFO, Nazi Bases in Antarctica, Base 211, Documentary

The Third Reich, Operation UFO - Russian Documentary

For the first time, the legendary 2006 Russian documentary 'Third Reich - Operation UFO' in its entirety, fully translated into English and available for free viewing. Many thanks to Irina Du Toit for the translation and the saucerpeople for the subtitles.

The film explores the historical mysteries and rumours of a Nazi secret base in Antarctica, the 1947 flying saucer attack on Admiral Byrd's ill-fated 'Operation Highjump' expedition and the occult origins of Third Reich anti-gravity engines, flying discs and ancient Atlantean technologies viewed through the lens of perhaps the three most mysterious twentieth century German organisations of all: the 'Thule Society, 'Vril Society' and the 'Ahnenerbe'

One of the core themes of the film is the alleged existence of 'Base 211', the legendary underground Nazi base in the Antarctica. Drawing upon the pre-war Nazi interest in Antarctica and the creation of 'New Swabia'; the testimony of German U-Boat submarine commanders and the alleged disappearance of thousands of Nazi scientists and engineers at the end of the war, personnel that cannot be accounted for by the Vatican and Odessa 'rat lines' or American 'Operation Paperclip' activities. In addition, the film analyses the actual geo-physical possibilities of an underground base in Antarctica.
The other core theme is the alleged existence of a Nazi flying saucer programand the many evidential strands that this area generates. From the supposed channeling of extraterrestrial engineering schematics by members of the German occult group 'Thule Society' in the early part of the twentieth century to the 'implosion engine' of Viktor Schauberger and its possible appropriation by the Third Reich.

Bringing us to the the latter part of the twentieth century the documentary illustrates the many sightings of unknown crafts around the Antartic region and the theoretical basis for polar wormholes as entrance and exit points for visiting extraterrestrial spaceships and the possible involvement of HAARP, as well as asking why nearly all American Antarctic bases seem to be populated by agents of the National Security Agency and CIA.

Like the study of any phenomena and/or events that exist at the edges of consensus reality, occupy imaginal realms and are subject to historical revisionism; the interface of myth and reality is a shifting mosaic of fact, speculation, disinformation and fantasy, or to use the phrase of head CIA counter-intelligence spook, James Jesus Angleton, we have entered a "wilderness of mirrors".

Certainly there are elements in the documentary that give cause for concern such as the alleged "Special Bureau 13", the Nazi secret flying saucer research group and its similarity to the top secret government agency in the early eighties role playing game "Bureau 13: Stalking the Night Fantastic " (though equally the RPG title could be an insider homage to this secret Nazi organisation). Likewise, there is the lack of information on the existence of the US Navy destroyer 'Murdoch' in the testimony recounted by pilot 'John Sireson' in his description of the flying saucer attack on Admiral Byrd's fleet (testimony taken from an interview by the late pioneering American researcher Leonard Stringfield).

Equally, the testimony of Admiral Byrd that flying saucers attacked the 'Operation Highjump' fleet is of historical record as is his testimony to Congress of enemies that have the ability to fly "pole to pole". Likewise, the creation of 'New Swabia' is as much a historical fact as the 'impossible' existence of the 'Piri Reis' map.

What sets this documentary apart from most others of its kind is the inclusion of high ranking Russian scientists and military personnel and their testimony should not be discounted.

As the great American anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory says of many elements of deep politics: "its food for thought and grounds for further research".

Exopolitics UK and 'The Saucer People' are looking for other non-English UFO/alien related videos to help translate and subtitle, we have dozens of Russian documentaries waiting to be translated into English. If you speak Russian and are interested in translating any of this material please get in touch.

Likewise, if your country of origin has produced any UFO/alien documentaries and are interested in creating English translations to be subtitled please contact us.

It took a lot of hard work to make the translation of this documentary into English and create the subtitles and we would like to dedicate our work to the late American researcher Wendelle Stevens who is quoted in the film, In our opinion, Wendelle, who sadly died in 2011 was one of the few genuine professional researchers in the UFO community who like Linda Moulton Howe, actually went and spoke to the subjects and witnesses and researched cases first-hand.

Low, Silent Triangle UFO Seen By Grandmother & Multiple Witnesses

Low Silent Triangular UFO, Kansas

The woman was driving south through Sawyer, Kansas, when she noticed the triangle-shaped object coming directly at their vehicle. She and her two grandchildren were driving south just after 9 p.m. on October 24, 2012, reported a silent and slow moving triangle-shaped object low to the ground, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

Artist Likeness

The reporting witness noticed "a row of bright white lights with a red light in the center of the row" in the southwest sky and alerted the 13-year-old granddaughter in the front passenger seat and the 12-year-old grandson in the back seat. The lights were not blinking.

"It finally got to us and went beside us and over us at the same time," the witness stated. "There was no noise coming from it, just silence. I continued to drive but slowed down. I told the children to be my eyes and to press their faces into the windows and to see what they could see."

The granddaughter reported that "it does not have a nose. It is just straight across."

The grandson apparently got the best view of the object from the rear window.

"He was able to look up out the back window and see the underneath side of it as it passed over us and then watched it head north. My grandson said it is shaped like a triangle and has a red blinking light in the center of it and white lights on each point."

The family pulled into a gas station and noticed a neighbor that pulled in that had been driving behind them.

"They were behind us by about a mile or two on the highway. They also were very confused by what they had seen and said that was not a plane. We did not talk for long but they also said there was no nose on the object."

The witness reported the sighting to local police. No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on October 25, 2012. Sawyer is a city in Pratt County, in south-central Kansas, population 124. The above quotes were edited for clarity.
The following is the unedited report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Kansas MUFON State Director Steve Winans investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.

October 24, 2012, 9:15 p.m., Sawyer, KS - We observed a brightly lit object in the SW skys of Kansas. It was moving very slow and low to the ground. It was headed north we were headed south. It passed beside and over us. the front of it was straight across, no nose. No sound. MUFON Case 43513.

My grandchildren and I were traveling south on a Hwy. It was around 9pm. I was driving and noticed in the SW sky a row of bright white lights with a red light in the center of the row. They were not blinking. I told the children look, what in the world was that! I told them I have never seen a plane that looks like that. The whole time it was heading towards us. I also said that I have never seen a big plane fly in this area. I also said that is not a plane. I could not believe my eyes it was moving so low to the ground and very slowly. It finally got to us and went beside us and over us at the same time. There was no noise coming from it, just silence. I continued to drive but slowed down. I told the chidren to be my eyes and to press their faces into the windows and to see what they could see. My grand-daughter was in the front seat and my grandson in the back seat.My grand-daughter [13] said it does not have a nose it is just straight across. Since it was headed North my grandson[12] had the best opportunity to view it.

He was able to look up out the back window and see the underneath side of it as it passed over us and then watched it head north. My grandson said it is shaped like a triangle and has a red blinking light in the center of it and white lights on each point I wanted to turn my car around and chase it. I was unable to that because my 96 year old grandmother was expecting me to tuck her in. We were all very excited and could not believe what we had just seen. Before we went to my grandmothers, I stopped at the gas station, my neighbors pulled in behind me. I was still very excited and said to them please tell me you just saw what we saw!

They said YES. They were behind us by about a mile or two on the highway. They also were very confused by what they had seen and said that was not a plane. We did not talk for long but they also said there was no nose on the object. I had to get to Grandma's. When I got to Grandma's I called the police and reported it. I ask has anybody else called in? They said no. Although I did receive a call back 30 mins. or so later from the police asking me for more details.

Mass UFO Sighting Southern Illinois, News Report & Photos

More on the Mass UFO Sighting in Southern Illinois

According to the Monroe County Independent, residents of Hecker, IL saw the bright UFO in the sky at approximately 7:00 pm. KPLR News 11 reports that the strange object was seen in both Monroe County and St. Clair County. According to witnesses, the stationary object hovered in the sky and “twinkled” with red, green, blue, and orange light. Some have even said the object was rotating. And according to the local Fox affiliate, KTVI, witnesses also describe the UFO as being larger than a planet, “but it definitely was not the Moon.” Freeburg, IL resident Judy Rachell told KTVI that she and her husband observed this same UFO back in early October. To her, the object looked like “the sun had shrunken down to . . . the size of a soccer ball.”

Monroe and St. Clair County deputies reportedly responded to calls about the UFO. They patrolled the area and established a viewing post in rural Paderborn, IL from which they observed the mysterious object. The UFO appeared to gradually ascend after 8:00 pm, followed by the appearance of a second, similar object. The deputies resumed their normal patrols after determining the UFOs posed no danger.

The Monroe County Independent reports that nearby Scott Air Force Base was contacted about the UFOs, and the base claims it had no aircraft in that area. And although the appearance of a meteor shower and/or solar flare activity was possible that day, the descriptions provided by witnesses don’t match that of meteorites or solar flares.

Scott Air Force Base did not report any aircraft flying in the area.

UFO Sighting near the town of Hecker IL had the police and military base phones ringing off the hook. Some people have speculated that it could have been nothing more than a satellite but experts agree that it was too large for a satellite, it remained stationery and it change colors which seems to rule that possibility out.

Is Disney Working on UFO/Alien Disclosure Film?

Disney and Disclosure?

Many people believe that disclosure is being done slowly through the media of film. Disney is launching a movie call '1952' that apparently has something to do with aliens and will be along the lines of 'Close Encounters'. Disney is being very tight lipped about the details but the speculation is rampant that it will have some type of disclosure involved in the plot. Disney is no stranger to the topic of UFOs and aliens, the produced a UFO documentary that was mysteriously removed from distribution which you can watch here and they have produced 'Flight of the Navigator' and 'Race to Witch Mountian'. It is your call, another alien film might just be another chink in the disclosure armor.

In June of 2011, word came that Lost’s Damon Lindelof had signed a seven-figure deal with Disney to write an original sci-fi blockbuster with EW's Jeff Jensen called 1952, but no other details about his mysterious project were released. This veil of secrecy persisted even into this summer, when word came that Ghost Protocol director Brad Bird had come aboard to direct and co-write the film. But now details have started to emerge: It will be set largely in the present day and it is not about aliens making contact here on Earth but more in the spirit of Close Encounters (not sure how that works). We are told that Bird and Lindelof want to recapture the spirit of 1977’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind, right down to centering it around a man in his late forties, à la Richard Dreyfuss’s Roy Neary.

While our sources maintain that the film is not set in 1952, there is an intriguing backstory to the title. We hear that last spring, when Lindelof had a meeting to discuss the project with Disney’s head of production, Sean Bailey, the Disney exec arranged for Lindelof to be given access to one of the studios odder curiosities: a banker’s box of files and documents that had been left moldering in Walt Disney’s personal development lab, WED Enterprises, which later became the studio’s vaunted Imagineering department. The box was originally labeled with the title of the studio’s 1965 comedy That Darn Cat!, which had been crossed out and in its place was written “1952.” Inside was a random-at-first-glance collection of documents and primary source materials that, when looked at all together, indicated that someone had been working on a project (movie? theme park ride?) about alien contact.

It’s unclear whether or how the box has inspired the development of the project. Though we hear the film will not be set in 1952, that was the year of the infamous “Washington flap,” wherein what seemed to be seven UFOs appeared on radar at National Airport.

We hear that the collaborators are planning an elaborate, very J.J. Abrams–like advanced marketing campaign that will start before filming even begins. The idea is to stage a treasure hunt for intrigued moviegoers that will gradually reveal clues about and build intrigue for the film right up until its release, and which may or may not be related to the contents of the box. Let’s just hope that this isn’t all an elaborate ruse setting us up for That Darn Cat 2.

Lindelof and Bailey will be holding a Q&A today at 9 a.m. West Coast time at Hollywood’s StoryWorld conference, so perhaps they will tease more information then.
