UFO Disclosure Petition Goes International

UFO Disclosure Petition Goes Beyond the USA

There were four petitions in the U.S. last year asking for UFO and extraterrestrial information to be released to the public and only one has met the required number of signature to elicit an official response.
Steven Bassett has launched his fifth petition on the "We The People Website" requesting that the Obama administration open a new investigation into the Roswell, New Mexico incident that occurred in July of 1947. You can find details of Bassestt's latest petition here.

Now we are finding out that petitions such as these are not confined to United States. UK Filmmaker and broadcaster Simon Sharman has lodged a petition with Her Majesty's government requesting parliamentary debate on the status of UFO Disclosure in the United Kingdom. Official UFO disclosure is not new to the UK, there have been several releases of official documents with the last two significant releases in August 2011 and July 2012. The wording of this new petition from the UK is similar to the "We the People" petitions.
"We, the undersigned, ask the British government to share with its citizens the full truth that it knows about UFOs and any visitations to Earth by beings or probes not from this planet.” The first petition submitted to We the People by Bassett asked the president to “formally acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race."
The first petition submitted to We the People by Bassett asked the president to “formally acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.”

The meager response by the Phil Larson who works at the U.S. Space Policy and Communications in the White House Office of Science and Technology  to Bassett's petition in November 2011 was as follows;
"The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye."
Mr. Sharman seems committed to getting a strong following behind his petition, he is planning to tour the UK engaging as many people as possible on the subject of UFOs, UFO Disclosure and alien contact by giving free presentations over the next year.

In the United States it take 25,000 signatures in one month to gain an official response, in the UK there is a one year period to get 100,000 signatures to be considered for debate in the House of Commons.

Any reasonable person knows that achieving the minimum signature requirement will not throw the doors of disclosure wide open but it will put the issue squarely in the sights of the mainstream media. This attention will get people focused and put the true government secret keepers on notice that the weight of the world is coming at them demanding that disclosure happen sooner rather than later.

Some people will no doubt think that supporting these petitions is a waste of time but I can assure you that your support will bring us one small incremental step closer to achieving the overall goal of some form of limited or partial disclosure.

There is already much discussion at the Department of Defense and a small handful of other government agencies about disclosure. It is too early to say the tide is turning in favor of disclosure but the fact that these discussions are even taking place is a monumental step in the right direction.
