Casino's Giving Odds on UFO Disclosure, Betting On Alien Life

Betting on Alien Life

Is there alien life out there? What are the odds that a US president will announce the discovery of alien life from the Oval Office? At Paddy Power, you can place bets on the existence of ET (“Extra-Terrestrial”).

Scientists all over the world are hunting exo-planets – planets that revolve around other stars. As of February 2012, over 760 exo-planets have been discovered. 4 of those 760 (.52%) are in the habitable zone where it’s not too hot and not too cold and water flows as a liquid. Here on Earth, wherever there is water there is life.

And then there is the Drake Equation, a hypothetical formula that estimates the number of civilizations in the galaxy. The Drake Equation takes into account the number of stars, the odds of life forming and how long a civilization lasts. Estimates range from 0 to 182 million.

So what are the odds for a “sitting President of the USA making a statement confirming without doubt the existence of alternative life beings from another planet?”

Here are the odds from Paddy Power. Place your bet on ET!

2020 or later – 2/1
2012 – 16/1

Orbs,UFOs Confound People for 50 Years in NC, UFO Sighting 2012

Mysterious orbs confound NC county for decades

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Two orange orbs, just about 10 feet off the ground, floated past Steve Woody and his father as they hunted deer more than 50 years ago. The mysterious lights passed them, then dropped down the side of a gorge in the Blue Ridge foothills.

For at least a century, the Brown Mountain Lights have confounded residents and tourists in a rugged patch of Burke County, bobbing and weaving near a modest peak. Are they reflections from automobile headlights? Brush fires? A paranormal phenomenon, or something natural not yet explained by science?

"I didn't feel anything spooky or look around for Martians or anything like that," Woody said. "It was just a unique situation. It's just as vivid now as when I was 12 years old."

Whatever the explanation, tourism officials are hoping all those decades of unanswered questions add up to a boost in visitors making their way to scenic outlooks around Linville Gorge with the goal of spotting something mysterious.

Unexplained mysteries like the Brown Mountain Lights have been the subject of cable TV documentaries and have fueled vast online communities of amateur investigators. Ed Phillips, Burke County's tourism director, is hoping to capitalize on that.

Earlier this month, a sellout crowd of 120 paid $20 a head to attend a symposium on the lights at Morganton City Hall, and there was a crowd outside the door hoping to get in at the last minute.

"It's a good problem to have," Phillips said. "I could have sold 500 tickets."

Interest in the lights has waxed and waned since the first known printed reference to the phenomenon appeared in The Charlotte Observer in 1913. John Harden, a Raleigh-based radio personality, devoted an episode of his 1940s series "Tales of Tar Heelia" to the lights, saying they "not only have attracted the attention of the people of this state, but have aroused the curiosity of a nation as well." There was also a folk song, recorded by The Kingston Trio and others that posited the lights came from a slave wandering the hills with a lantern in search of his master.

The profile of the lights has dimmed in recent years, although the number of reports doesn't appear to be falling off. Making the area a destination for fans of the unexplained and anomalous helps give Burke County an edge, Phillips said.

"When you look at everything, you look at what people are really interested in, and the Brown Mountain Lights was something I really wanted to bring back to people's attention," he said.

There are plans for another symposium and a contest with a cash prize for the best photo or video of the lights. There are even T-shirts and refrigerator magnets for sale in the area now.

Also in the works is a regular event tentatively called the Brown Mountain Paranormal Expedition, where people will pay to hear a presentation on the lights at a dinner, then travel by bus to overlook sites where the lights have been reported. The events will be guided by Joshua P. Warren, an Asheville native and paranormal investigator who plans to allow attendees to use equipment like night vision goggles in hopes of spotting the lights.

"The folks who attend will have a true firsthand experience of what it's like to be out there trying to judge what's happening with this mountain," Brown said.

The Brown Mountain Lights have drawn serious scientific interest since the 1920s, when the U.S. Geological Survey issued a report concluding the lights were reflections from automobiles, trains and brush fires.

Daniel Caton, a professor in the physics and astronomy department at Appalachian State University, thinks that's part of the explanation for what people have reported seeing over the years. But Caton thinks there's more to the lights, at least in some cases.

Caton said that about seven years ago, he was ready to give up studying the lights when he began hearing from people who said they saw them from mere feet away, not miles across the Linville Gorge. Those accounts sounded to Caton a lot like firsthand reports of ball lightning, a little-understood but naturally occurring phenomenon involving luminous spheres often said to move or bounce about in the air.

Caton hopes to eventually set up cameras at viewing sites that will feed to his website, allowing anyone to watch for the lights at any time. While he's skeptical, guessing that 95 percent of reports of the lights are something like airplane lights, Caton still thinks there are eyewitness reports worth checking.

"The cool thing is, if ball lightning is preferentially made by nature in the Linville Gorge, at least we have a place to look for the conditions that might create it," he said. "Otherwise, it's hopeless to try and study ball lightning because it's just randomly made and you don't know where to look for it."

NASA Drilling for Alien Life On Saturn's Moon, The IceMole, Photos

New Space Drill Could Seek Alien Life Inside Icy Saturn Moon

Scientists tested the IceMole drill on the Morteratsch glacier in Switzerland, where it melted the ice successfully.
CREDIT: FH Aachen

To see if life does lurk beneath the frigid crust of one of Saturn's moons, scientists are developing a powerful drill that can melt and bore its way down to the moon's icy depths.

Giant jets of water ice have been seen spewing into space from cryovolcanoes on Enceladus, Saturn's sixth largest moon. When NASA's Cassini spacecraft flew through these icy fountains, the probe detected organic compounds that hinted at the possibility of life.

But the problem with investigating cryovolcanoes for alien life is that landing directly on them is too risky. Furthermore, any potential traces of life could be destroyed during their launch from the fissures and subsequent exposure to the hostile conditions of space.

Instead, researchers are envisioning ways to dig into the icy crust of Enceladus to look for signs of life in the water that is thought to lurk beneath the moon's surface, before the icy fountains burst upward.

The concept is to establish a base station that is a safe distance from a cryovolcano on the surface of Enceladus. This base station would power a probe dubbed IceMole, which is designed to melt and drill its way down to a depth of 330 to 660 feet (100 to 200 meters) at speeds of about 3 feet (1 meter) per hour.

IceMole is a rectangular box about 6 inches by 6 inches by 47 inches (15 centimeters by 15 centimeters by 120 centimeters) in size. Its square head holds 12 separate heaters that can reach up to 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees Celsius).

By varying the amount of heat radiating from each of the heaters, IceMole can manipulate where the ice in front of it melts, enabling the probe to gradually change direction as needed. A screw protruding from its square head allows IceMole to penetrate mud if needed, and can suck in samples for the probe to analyze with onboard instruments.

Saturn's Icy Moon - Enceladus
After IceMole reaches its target — a cryovolcanic crevasse filled with water it is hoped — it aims to sample the liquid, examining it for evidence of microbes. The project, called the Enceladus Explorer, or EnEx, was formally launched on Feb. 22, and is led by the German Aerospace Center.

"EnEx deals with one of the most exciting tasks of space exploration — the search for extraterrestrial life," Oliver Funke, project manager for the Enceladus Explorer at the German Aerospace Center, told SPACE.com.

It will prove hard for IceMole to burrow its way to water, given the lack of reference points for navigation — for instance, it can't guide itself by the stars, and it can't navigate with a compass, as Enceladus lacks a stable, well-defined magnetic field.

Nevertheless, IceMole will have to establish its position and distance to its target, calculate the best route, consider its operating range and power consumption, transmit data back to the base station, and take evasive action, if necessary, to avoid obstacles such as embedded meteorites. The probe should do so by combining a variety of sensors, such as ultrasonic arrays, with guidance systems in the base station, Funke said.

So far, the probe built by the Aachen University of Applied Sciences in Germany has already successfully melted through the ice of Morteratsch Glacier in Switzerland.

Within three years, a battery of additional field tests are scheduled for EnEx — on Alaska's Matanuska Glacier in April 2013, on Antarctica's Canada Glacier in the McMurdo Dry Valleys from October to December 2013, and for the first-ever extraction of a water sample in uncontaminated conditions from a lake far below a glacier, the Blood Falls at Taylor Glacier in 2014, also in the McMurdo Dry Valleys.

If these endeavors are successful, the plan is to propose an IceMole device for a mission to Mars to investigate its polar ice caps, Funke said.

"Further engineering steps to achieve this goal are necessary, which can be performed within a further three to five years," he said. "We hope that the demonstration of the required technology will make a mission to Enceladus more interesting for ESA and NASA."

Asteroid News, Earth Threatened By Megarock Says NASA

Asteroid Could Hit Earth 2011 AG5

Scientists are keeping a close eye on a big asteroid that may pose an impact threat to Earth in a few decades.

The space rock, which is called 2011 AG5, is about 460 feet (140 meters) wide. It may come close enough to Earth in 2040 that some researchers are calling for a discussion about how to deflect it.

Talk about the asteroid was on the agenda during the 49th session of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), held earlier this month in Vienna.

A UN Action Team on near-Earth objects (NEOs) noted the asteroid's repeat approaches to Earth and the possibility - however remote - that 2011 AG5 might smack into our planet 28 years from now.

The object was discovered in January 2011 by Mount Lemmon Survey observers in Tucson, Ariz. While scientists have a good bead on the space rock's size, its mass and compositional makeup are unknown at present. [The 7 Strangest Asteroids in the Solar System]

An asteroid desktop exercise

"2011 AG5 is the object which currently has the highest chance of impacting the earth ... in 2040. However, we have only observed it for about half an orbit, thus the confidence in these calculations is still not very high," said Detlef Koschny of the European Space Agency's Solar System Missions Division in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

"In our Action Team 14 discussions, we thus concluded that it not necessarily can be called a 'real' threat. To do that, ideally, we should have at least one, if not two, full orbits observed," Koschny told SPACE.com.

Koschny added that the Action Team did recommend to the NEO Working Group of COPUOS to use 2011 AG5 as a "desktop exercise" and link ongoing studies to the asteroid.

"We are currently also in the process of making institutions like the European Southern Observatory aware of this object," Koschny said. "We hope to make the point that this object deserves the allocation of some special telescope time."

Non-zero impact probability

The near-Earth asteroid 2011 AG5 currently has an impact probability of 1 in 625 for Feb. 5, 2040, said Donald Yeomans, head of the Near-Earth Object Observations Program at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif.

This impact probability isn't set in stone, however. So far, researchers have been able to watch the asteroid for just a short time -- the first nine months of 2011 -- and the numbers may change after further observation, Yeomans told SPACE.com.

"Fortunately, this object will be observable from the ground in the 2013-2016 interval," Yeomans said. In the very unlikely scenario that its impact probability does not significantly decrease after processing these additional observations, "there would be time to mount a deflection mission to alter its course before the 2023 keyhole," he added.

Keyholes are small regions in space near Earth through which a passing NEO's orbit may be perturbed due to gravitational effects, possibly placing it onto a path that would impact Earth.

Prudent course of action

2011 AG5 may zip through such a keyhole on its close approach to Earth in February 2023, which will bring the asteroid within 0.02 astronomical units (1.86 million miles, or 2.99 million kilometers) of Earth.

One astronomical unit is the average distance between Earth and sun, which is approximately 93 million miles (150 million km).

According to a JPL estimate, the 2023 keyhole -- through which 2011 AG5 must pass in order for there to be a real chance of an Earth impact in 2040 - is roughly 62 miles (100 km) wide.

"Although this keyhole is considerably larger than the Apophis keyhole in 2029, it would still be a straightforward task to alter the asteroid's trajectory enough to miss the keyhole - and hence the impact in 2040," Yeomans noted, referring to the asteroid Apophis, which could threaten Earth in 2036 if it zips through a keyhole in 2029.

"The prudent course of action is then to wait at least until the 2013 observations are processed before making any preliminary plans for a potential deflection mission," Yeomans said.

Processing additional observations in the 2013-2016 time period, he added, "will almost certainly see the impact probability for 2011 AG5 significantly decrease."

Wanted: Higher-fidelity assessment

"Yes, the object 2011 AG5 was much discussed at the AT 14 meetings last week, but perhaps prematurely," said Lindley Johnson, NASA's NEO Observations Program Executive in Washington, D.C.

Johnson said NEO watchers have flagged the asteroid "as one we should keep an eye on." At present, he said, while researchers have better preliminary orbit data for 2011 AG5 than for many other asteroids in the NEO catalog, "we have only medium confidence in the derived orbital parameters."

"Fortunately, we are confident our uncertainties in the current orbit model will be reduced when we will have good observation opportunities in September 2013 with the larger follow-up assets," Johnson told SPACE.com. Observing opportunities are even better, he added, starting in November 2015 and for several months thereafter.

"This, in turn, will enable us to better assess the likelihood of any 'keyhole' passage in 2023 and therefore a much higher fidelity assessment of any impact probability for the 2040 time frame," Johnson said.

"So, rather than a need to immediately jump to space mission solutions, the situation with 2011 AG5 shows the value of finding potentially hazardous objects early enough so that there is time for a methodical approach of observation and assessment as input to any need for an expensive spacecraft mission," Johnson said. "A more robust survey capability would improve the data available to make such assessments."

Decision challenge

Long-time NEO specialist and former Apollo astronaut Russell Schweickart played an active role in the dialogue about 2011 AG5. He represented the Association of Space Explorers (ASE) Committee on Near Earth Objects and presented to the Action Team an analysis of the situation with 2011 AG5.

The space rock presents a "decision challenge" to the international community, Schweickart suggested, "in the unlikely chance that its current low, but significant probability of impacting Earth in 2040 continues to increase after additional tracking becomes available."

Schweickart spotlighted a rough Association of Space Explorers analysis of the options to deflect the asteroid in the future, in the unlikely scenario that the Earth impact probability continues to increase.

He also provided to the Action Team several new appraisals of options for deflection of asteroid 2011 AG5 to avoid a potentially dangerous Earth encounter in 2040.

Delayed deflection campaign

A decision date for a keyhole deflection is very soon, if not now, Schweickart suggested. Asteroid 2011 AG5 represents an actual threat that underscores the need for a NEO hazard decision-making structure within the UN COPUOS, he said.

Based on the latest analysis, Schweickart reported, a deflection campaign delayed until after the 2023 close approach appears marginally possible, as long as a decision to commit is made immediately thereafter.

In the low-probability case in which the impact threat of the asteroid  persists beyond its 2013 apparition, "should a keyhole deflection campaign be foregone -- for whatever reason -- the international community may be faced with the difficult decision of choosing between an expensive multikinetic impactor or a nuclear explosive to prevent an impact should the NEO indeed pass through the keyhole," Schweickart said.

The timelines that would be required to mount a successful deflection of the asteroid, Schweickart told SPACE.com, might be challenging.

But first things first -- researchers stress that more study of the asteroid's trajectory is called for. The next tracking opportunities of 2011 AG5 will occur in September 2013, and then again in November 2015.

NASA chief: We still have time

In response to a letter from Schweickart regarding 2011 AG5, NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said that 2011 AG5 is "high on NASA's a list of NEO's to monitor for impact hazard potential," adding that "we take these duties very seriously."

Bolden also noted the opportunities for highly accurate ground-based observations in the near future.

"Based on these observations, a more informed assessment can then be made on the need for any type of mitigation," he said.

Bolden also remarked that the asteroid makes an apparition in 2015, more than seven years before the close keyhole passage in 2023 that could set in motion an Earth impact in the 2040 time frame.

"As a point of comparison, NASA's Deep Impact mission [the Deep Impact probe smashed into comet Tempel 1 in July 2005] was conducted in six years from selection to impact under much less urgency, demonstrating the adequacy of a seven-year period for any necessary response," Bolden said.

Conspiracy of Silence on Alien Life, UFOs, Extraterrestrials

Extraterrestrial Life is a Censored Subject Within the Science Community

Vidya Jothi Nalin Chandra Wickramasinghe FIMA, FRAS, FRSA (born 20 January 1939) is Professor at Cardiff University and Honorary Professor at the University of Buckingham. He is the Director of the Buckingham Centre for Astrobiology. Born and educated in Sri Lanka, he currently lives in Cardiff, Wales, UK.

It is not often scientists are willing to openly discuss the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

According to a famous astronomy professor there is a reason why a majority of scientists avoid the subject - it is censored!

Even though the general public embraces ideas of extraterrestrial life, science is expected to shun this subject no matter how strong the evidence, albeit through a conspiracy of silence.

It is an unwritten doctrine of science that extraterrestrial life could not exist in our immediate vicinity, or, that if such life did exist, it could not have a connection with Earth.

Professor N. Chandra Wickramasinghe was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on January 20, 1939.

He studied astrophysics at Cambridge, where he was a student of Hoyle's.

He received his Ph.D. in 1963 and an Sc.D. in 1973, and served on the faculty at Cambridge. He is now a Professor of Applied Mathematics and Astronomy at the University College, Cardiff, Wales. He is an expert in the use of infrared astronomy to study interstellar matter.

"My own personal involvement in this matter dates back to the 1970's when, together with the late Fred Hoyle, I was investigating the nature of interstellar dust.

At this time evidence for organic molecules in interstellar clouds was accumulating at a rapid pace, and the interstellar dust grains that were hitherto believed to be comprised of inorganic ices were shown by us to contain complex organic polymers of possible biological provenance.

These discoveries came as a surprise to astronomers, and for a long time the conclusion was resisted that such molecules might have a relevance to life on the Earth," says professor Wickramasinghe.

Hoyle and Wickramasinghe were among the first scientists to make a connection between complex organic molecules in interstellar clouds and life on Earth.

"My first inkling of any censorship relating to extraterrestrial life came when we made the intellectual leap from prebiology in space to fully-fledged biology outside the Earth.

In setting out to explore the hypothesis that interstellar grains were not just abiotic organic polymers but bacterial cells in various stages of degradation, we made a prediction that interstellar dust in the infrared spectral region must have the signature of bacteria.

Infrared sources near the galactic centre were a prime target for this investigation and on our instigation approaches were made to the Anglo-Australian telescope committees to provide time on the AAT to test our seemingly wild hypothesis.

Biological UFOs Are Real, UFO News, Extraterrestrials, Space Junk, Video

Could some of the strange objects filmed in space be biological UFOs?

Dr. Rhawn Joseph has analyzed several controversial images and says there is no doubt that there are extraterrestrial life-forms in space.

He also dismisses NASA's space junk explanation and says that "there is no evidence to support the belief these objects are space junk, or artifacts of the camera.

NASA has never bothered to take samples or to investigate; yet without evidence NASA claim these objects are space junk."

Research has proven that extreme organisms can live in very harsh environments. Such extremophiles can survive almost everywhere, including in outer space, says Dr. Rhawn Joseph who has complied the following footage that shows what he believes to be living alien organisms which were filmed by NASA.

According to Dr. Rhawn Joseph, many of these objects are huge in size and have a pulsating nucleus. That could be an indication that they are living life-forms. The objects are able to suddenly change direction and speed of movement.

Astronauts have described some of these objects as "definitely not solid", "plasma-like", "tissue paper thin", and engaging in unusual movements.

Dr. Joseph also point out that "when the tether was viewed with a deep field lens, there were tens of thousands of these structures, some smaller, some similar in width to the teather.

When the tether was viewed close up, objects of all sizes could be viewed; and many of these objects were semi-transparent.

When the tether is viewed close up, there are very large objects and the entire field is filled with millions of very tiny objects which must be very far away.

Strange object filmed in space by NASA. This could be a biological lifeform according to Dr. Joseph. Credit: NASA

In other words, there are millions of strange objects in space which could be living extraterrestrial organisms. Astronauts could see these objects outside the space shuttle, travelling along side the shuttle.

Dr. Joseph became interested in the biological alien life-form theory when he viewed a NASA video tape of NASA's 1996 broken tether incident, involving the Space Shuttle Columbia (Space Shuttle mission, STS-75) and a hundred million dollar satellite which was released into orbit.

Tens of thousands of structures began swimming toward the tethered satellite in deep space; as depicted in NASA film footage. Some of these objects can be miles in size, says Dr. Joseph. Credit: NASA

According to Dr. Joseph "it was as if I was staring into a microscope, at a colony of algae swimming in a petri dish." "Thousands of these creatures appeared to be identical to a species of algae known as Eudorina elegans, but had to be many kilometers in size."

"The tape is authentic (filmed by NASA and shuttle astronauts) and NASA acknowledges the existence of these structures; and the official explanation is they are "ice particles" and "space junk". Yet these structures do not remotely resemble "ice particles" and many are identical in appearance (and can't be space junk) and contain what appears to be a pulsating nucleus at their center. In fact, they appear similar to the upper atmospheric Jovian creatures proposed by Carl Sagan.

NASA footage also shows some of these "structures" suddenly changing direction and accelerating their speed of movement--Exactly as predicted by Carl Sagan. Further, as predicted by Carl Sagan, they appear to use a propulsion system that may rely on gas.

And as predicted by Carl Sagan, these extraterrestrial extremophiles resemble algae. As as predicted by Carl Sagan, some appear to be "many kilometers in size."

Extremophiles can survive in almost any environment, why not outer space?", says Dr. Rhawn Joseph.

Wyoming Advances Doomsday Bill, Currency, Military, Strike Focre

Wyoming House Advances Doomsday Bill

CHEYENNE — State representatives on Friday advanced legislation to launch a study into what Wyoming should do in the event of a complete economic or political collapse in the United States.

House Bill 85 passed on first reading by a voice vote. It would create a state-run government continuity task force, which would study and prepare Wyoming for potential catastrophes, from disruptions in food and energy supplies to a complete meltdown of the federal government.

The task force would look at the feasibility of

Wyoming issuing its own alternative currency, if needed. And House members approved an amendment Friday by state Rep. Kermit Brown, R-Laramie, to have the task force also examine conditions under which Wyoming would need to implement its own military draft, raise a standing army, and acquire strike aircraft and an aircraft carrier.

The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. David Miller, R-Riverton, has said he doesn’t anticipate any major crises hitting America anytime soon. But with the national debt exceeding $15 trillion and protest movements growing around the country, Miller said Wyoming — which has a comparatively good economy and sound state finances — needs to make sure it’s protected should any unexpected emergency hit the U.S.

Several House members spoke in favor of the legislation, saying there was no harm in preparing for the worst.

“I don’t think there’s anyone in this room today what would come up here and say that this country is in good shape, that the world is stable and in good shape — because that is clearly not the case,” state Rep. Lorraine Quarberg, R-Thermopolis, said. “To put your head in the sand and think that nothing bad’s going to happen, and that we have no obligation to the citizens of the state of Wyoming to at least have the discussion, is not healthy.”

Wyoming’s Department of Homeland Security already has a statewide crisis management plan, but it doesn’t cover what the state should do in the event of an extreme nationwide political or economic collapse. In recent years, lawmakers in at least six states have introduced legislation to create a state currency, all unsuccessfully.

The task force would include state lawmakers, the director of the Wyoming Department of Homeland Security, the Wyoming attorney general and the Wyoming National Guard’s adjutant general, among others.

The bill must pass two more House votes before it would head to the Senate for consideration. The original bill appropriated $32,000 for the task force, though the Joint Appropriations Committee slashed that number in half earlier this week.

University of Wyoming political science professor Jim King said the potential for a complete unraveling of the U.S. government and economy is “astronomically remote” in the foreseeable future.

But King noted that the federal government set up a Continuity of Government Commission in 2002, of which former U.S. Sen. Al Simpson, R-Wyo., was co-chairman. However, King said he didn’t know of any states that had established a similar board.

Wikileaks via Anonymous Release 5 Million Emails From Stratfor, Video, Pic

E-mail Release By Wikileaks called Deplorable by Stratfor

WikiLeaks releases Global Intelligence Files containing over five million emails taken from Stratfor, a global security think tank, via the international Internet hacktivist collective known as Anonymous.

WikiLeaks representatives will hold a news conference in London, on Monday, at noon, to announce the release of The Global Intelligence Files.

The bombshell release promises to reveal information concerning “secret cash bribes,” “the US government’s attacks against Julian Assange and WikiLeaks,” “Stratfor’s own attempts to subvert WikiLeaks,” and “secret deals with dozens of media organisations and journalists.”

Last December, Anonymous hacked into the Texas-headquartered "global intelligence" company Stratfor. In that hack, Anonymous liberated the millions of emails in question, and turned those emails over to WikiLeaks for examination. And now WikiLeaks is ready for the big reveal.

Hastings writes that researcher Don Berliner, Fund for UFO Research, discovered declassified documents recounting the 1989 case which became available after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. A KGB officer wrote a case summary, which in part includes: "After questioning the witnesses, it was determined that the reported characteristics of the observed UFOs are: disc 4-5 m. diameter, with a half-sphere on top, which is lit brightly. It moved sometimes abruptly, but noiselessly, at times coming down and hovering over ground at an altitude of 20-60 m. The command of [censored] called for a fighter... but it was not able to see it in detail, because the UFO did not let the aircraft come near it, evading it."

In both cases, witnesses described a beam of light moving to the ground level over nuclear weapons storage areas.

Educating Humanity on Synchronicity, Is Life A Game of Chance

Synchronicity in Our Daily Lives: Do Things Really Happen for a Reason?

Many believe, myself included, that our lives are guided by a higher power, and the distinction of whether one regards this power as God, one’s Higher Self, Ancestors or a team of higher-dimensional guides is less important that the realization that synchronistic events may be designed to capature and guide our attention and actions in a given way.
Those raised in Western cultures, like the U.S., are routinely taught that synchronicity is coincidental  – amounting to nothing more than random, accidental probability – or, at times, relegated to some “super-natural/paranormal” event experienced only by unique, “sixth- sense-type” individuals. Typically, those that believe in, and speak about, synchronicity may be ridiculed at worst and dismissed at best.  But for those who have experienced profound examples of synchronicity in their personal lives – these events are received as “signs” that support or challenge a chosen decision or direction to take.
Synchronicity Can Open Doors
I know a young woman who recently earned her license as a health care professional. She was born and raised in a small town in the Midwest and upon completion of her training, she accepted a job offer in a major coastal city in the U.S.. After many failed attempts at locating a reasonable and safe place to live – she grew uncertain about the major relocation that lied ahead of her. Then one day, her mother called to announce that she may have finally found a place on an online, sublet website.
As it turns out, the neighborhood of the apartment her mother found just happened to be the very same neighborhood where an old high-school friend lived. Next, she learned that the address of this prospective apartment happened to be in the very same building where this old high-school friend now lives.
Astonished at finding that these old high-school friend would reside in the very same apartment building – they eagerly began to discuss the “eerie coincidence” that had touched their lives. But the icing on the cake came when they discovered that they would not only dwell in the same apartment building – but that they would be next-door neighbors – sharing a common wall!

Accidental, random occurrence? I think not. What are the chances of 2 people that grew up in a small, Midwestern town – ending up as next door neighbors, thousands of miles away – in a major city overrun by thousands of apartment buildings - a full decade after high-school – without effort, knowledge or intent? If we were dealing with statistical probabilities – the chances would be improbably remote – to say the least.

Another case in point involves my elderly mother who was undergoing cancer treatment during the winter months. On our daily travels to and from her radiation treatments over a six-week period, she routinely took notice of every Honda CRV that we passed by. Her own vehicle of 20 years was certainly on it’s last legs and she described the CRV as her “dream mobile”. “I would love to have a silver CRV”, she repeated over and over again. But alas, finances did not permit our ability to purchase another car – despite my so wanting to make her dream come true.
One afternoon, while running errands, a parking space opened up behind a silver CRV as the driver was returning to her car. I approached her and asked her about her vehicle. She said that it was the best car she ever owned. I gave her my business card and casually mentioned that if she were ever interested in selling it, to let me know.  Over the next few months, I managed to stash away some money in savings. And on the last day of my mother’s treatments, I received a phone call from the woman stating that she had decided to sell her CRV and had kept my card! I was astonished! But could I afford to buy it and was in it good working order?
I took the car to my mechanic for an inspection and he stated that it was the best kept used car he had ever seen in his 20 year career. When I asked if it would be a good purchase, he replied, “If you don’t buy it – I will!” When I asked the woman how much she wanted for the car, she quoted me a figure that was identical to the amount of money I had saved! Days later, I had the heartfelt pleasure of leading my mother, blindfolded, into the front yard where she found her very own silver Honda CRV wrapped in a big red bow!
This, my friends, is sychronicity in action and it comes into our lives to guide and direct our life’s path through the maze of our current reality.
Synchronicity Can Close Doors
At times, synchronicity may also appear in the form of  bad news, an unexpected upset or disappointment. For example, I used to hold a full-time position as a coordinator for a social service agency. During that time, I found myself spread terribly thin as single parent, recently divorced, and working long hours to finish my doctoral dissertation.
I wasn’t happy with my job, but it was sorely needed,  as I was the sole provider in the household at that time. One day, I was called into my bosses office and told that I was being “let go” for undisclosed reasons. Needless to say, I was shocked and horrified. I packed up my belongings and returned home – dazed and confused. I kept replaying the questions in my mind – over and over again. Why? How? What had led to this horrific outcome – at a point in my life when all else was already so abysmally challenging?
Shortly after my dismissal, I suddenly received numerous teaching opportunities from area universities which had previously been unavailable. I was thrilled and excited as the teaching appointments poured in – comprising more income than I had ever hoped for.  So what may have initially appeared to have been a sudden and tragic loss – led to greater measures of prosperity and personal fulfillment.
Maybe – Just Maybe – It Was Really Meant to Be

It may not be such a far-fetched notion that things really do happen for the best of reasons.  When one begins to take conscious notice of the various signs that present themselves in various ways – one begins to recognize a “method to the madness”. Sometimes, our guidance comes in the form of a quiet inner voice that speaks to us – ever so softly. Other times, the guidance comes in more profound ways. But if we open our inner wisdom and allow ourselves to become receptive to the directives – we will assuredly find ourselves our intended path, in the long run.
Free will is always ours to exercise – and with free will – comes the freedom of choice. It is always our choice to act in whatever way we wish. But it’s wise to remember that people, events, situations and circumstances may very well cross our paths for a reason – and if we realize that these occurrences have presented themselves as a matter of guidance – we begin to live the life that will lead to the full measure of our potential.

Pakistan Begins Destruction of bin Laden Compound

CIA Picture recently released showing a crowd gathering
to watch bin Laden's compound destroyed

Pakistani security forces on Saturday began demolishing the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed during a US raid last May, FOX News Channel confirmed.

Bulldozers were seen around the compound in the northwestern garrison town of Abbottabad, and at least one room has been destroyed, according to witnesses and police. It was unclear how long the demolition will take.

Demolition of the Terror in Chief's former compound well underway

US Navy SEALs stormed the compound May 2, 2011 in a 40-minute covert raid that killed bin Laden, his adult son and three other people.

The raid stoked tensions between the United States and Pakistan following the discovery that the former al Qaeda leader had lived for years undetected in Abbottabad, close to Pakistani military bases and not far from the capital Islamabad.

The terror chief was said to have been "scared" and "completely confused" in the moments before he was gunned down inside his Pakistan compound.

A source confirmed that the SEALs first took aim when bin Laden poked his head around the door of his bedroom -- but the bullet whistled past the al Qa'ida chief.

After darting back into the room, bin Laden shoved one his wives toward an advancing SEAL in an apparent attempt to save himself. He was quickly dispatched with shots to the chest and forehead.

Dolphin Super Pod (2000) Racing a Whaling Watching Boat

An amazing 2000 dolphins surround and follow a whale watching boat off the coast of California. Scientist have no idea why this spectacle took place and can only speculate that the mammals were only "having fun".

This astonishing video of 2,000 dolphins racing a whale-watching boat is either cute, unsettling or a bit of both. The ship was off Dana Point, Calif., when it encountered the "mega-pod," which paced the boat at up to 25 miles per hour. A normal pod contains about 12 dolphins, and "News" reported that baffled scientists believed the huge group might have been racing the boat just "for fun." That seems likelier than a solidarity swim to endorse the recently proposed dolphins' bill of rights.

UFO Sighting 2012, Mysterious Metal Ball Lands in Brazil, Video

Mysterious Metal Ball Falls From Sky in Brazil

An identified metal sphere has plunged from the sky on unsuspecting villagers in northern Brazil, causing an uproar. According to eyewitnesses, the UFO weighs about 50 kilograms and measures roughly one meter in diameter.

The sphere fell on Wednesday in a village of Riacho dos Poços in Brazilian Maranhão state. No casualties were reported apart from an unfortunate cashew tree that was severed by the object as it plunged to the ground, according to MR NOTÍCIAS, a Mata Roma news site.

Valdir José Mendes, 46, told police the sphere landed several meters from his house leaving a one-meter-deep hole in the yard.

"I heard the noise and I went out to see what caused it. I thought it was a plane that had fallen, or an earthquake," he said.

The noise was such that Mendes was too scared to go outside. However, curiosity got the better of him and he headed outside to find the cashew tree’s trunk snapped in half by a mysterious metal sphere lying in a hole nearby.

Some 20 villagers joined Mendes to help him extract the object from the ground and examine it. Mendes says the sphere is hollow and if shaken some sort of liquid can be felt swishing inside. Locals quickly spread the news, as they reached the town of Mata Roma over 2,000 people flocked to see the “UFO”.

"It was a huge uproar here. Some feared it was the beginning of the 2012 end of the world, others said it was ‘alien’, but I think it is a piece of satellite," said Max Garreto Mauro, 25, a resident of Mata Roma.

Peter Costa, the meteorologist at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), agrees with Garetto, saying the object would probably be part of a satellite. "I'm sure this is not a weather balloon or part of it," he said as quoted by O Imparcia.

Military police confiscated the sphere and took it to the barracks in the nearby Mata Roma. They have not specified what the UFO’s possible future will be. In a statement the Air Force Command said it "does not have specialized structures to perform scientific research on this type of aerial phenomena, which prevents the institution to submit an opinion on these events."
