Disclosure, Catholic Church, Alien Life, New Video, The Vatican on ET

Brother Guy J. Consolmagno, a Jesuit priest now part of the Vatican Observatory, has worked at NASA and taught at Harvard and MIT. He talks briefly here as part of a  documentary ('The Pope's Secret Service') on reconciling science and religion, as well as his search for extra-terrestrial life and its potential impact on his faith. The Vatican is quickly moving out in front on the issue of alien life and ET's existence.

It would not have been that long ago that speaking as Brother Guy does in this video would have landed him in jail for life. Galileo is the perfect example of how rigid the Catholic Church was at the time. This new openness and being on the front end of full disclosure is something new from the Vatican. The Vatican has been in secret meeting at the UN since 2008, one of the primary topics has been extraterrestrial life. Shortly after these meetings began both the United Nations and the Vatican came out publically and announced their belief in extraterrestrial life. The UN went a step further and reopene ,the long dormant office of United Nations Office of Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and placed Mazlan Othman as its Director.
